Hey Girls!
Who is behind those pretty pink words?
That would be me. My name is Lily, if you want my full legal name, we should probably discuss some things first.
If I am being honest, the only way that I found myself in a place to believe myself to be somewhat “qualified” to present these words of “wisdom” to you (yes, you, the beautiful human reading this right now) is through the experiences I have undergone. I have lived and learned every second of my tiny little life, practically since I took my first breath. The comical fact is, you have to! I am just here to put your thoughts into words and translate them, almost as an older sister to the younger sister I never had.
Now, some things about me, because who am I to give you unsolicited advice and not even introduce myself? My name is Lily Jo Anderson, and I am a high school senior at Rancho Solano in Scottsdale, Arizona. I graduate in 6 months, which baffles me, since it feels like I am just a 6th-grade girl making her way through life. Technically, I am -, but I am also a 7th, 8th, 9th, 10th, and now 11th grader; as well as all my elementary years preceding.
I run high school track, and although I am most notably terrible at it and usually come in somewhere close to last place, I look forward to track season more than any other time of the year. I love doing every girly activity you can think of. Shopping, eating, dancing, getting ready, hanging out with my besties, you name it.
I take pride in my academic efforts as I have tried so hard to pull myself out of the trenches dug by my younger self (a story for another time). I am in the IB full diploma program, and I have completed a 4,000-word research paper on Anorexia Nervosa, a topic relevant to me and those I love.
I love serving my community, and it is another reason I am starting this blog. I have been volunteering at various charities around the valley since I was 11 years old, and I have found my heart at St. Vincent DePaul Charities. I also used to host at a restaurant, simply for the joy of greeting people and giving them a better experience as they eat. There will be a page with links to my favorite charitable organizations that I encourage you to check out and, hopefully, make an impact of your own!
Through my experiences and the many lives I have lived in only 17 years, I wish to give other girls the advice they never received. So, welcome! I hope you learn something or grab inspo (since it will not merely be advice, but also shopping lists, makeup inspo, and all other miscellaneous feminine topics that we all dream of)
I love you all xoxo - LJA
